  • The EBD pages of epoline® make it is possible to download one or several weeks EP patent bibliographic data in XML (see below).
  • This is text data only and the bibliographic data has the same data content as the weekly EPO Patent Bulletin .
  • These files are complex and you will need a good understanding of EPO patent data to process them. Please refer to the information pages.
  • These files can be quite large and may take some time to download - even though they are 'zip' files.
    Note: we store only the previous four weeks data on this site.

WIPO ST.36 format:: this is XML tagged text data in UTF-8.
Abstracts EP abstracts in WIPO ST.36 format: this is XML tagged text data containing bibliographic data and abstracts.
SGML data:
IMPORTANT: users should use the XML data (above) rather than the SGML data, which will be discontinued as soon as all clients have moved to XML
This is expected by the end of 2006. The XML data is the official EPO data from week 1, 2006.

WIPO ST.35 format:  this data is in binary format and contains an EBCDIC encoded SGML tagged file conforming to WIPO standard ST.32. 
WIPO ST.32 format: this is SGML tagged text data which is data extracted from the WIPO ST.35 file as a 'flat ASCII file'.
